Kazakhstan Culinary Congress 2011

On April 20-22, 2011 the 4th Kazakhstan Culinary Congress “Cuisine Virtuoso” – one of the biggest culinary shows in the entire Central Asian Region, took place.

The event was held within Central-Asian International trade show “Everything for hotels, restaurants, supermarkets”. About 40 delegates – directors and chefs of restaurants, cafes, deli shops and pastry shops from all over Kazakhstan and neighboring Kyrgyzstan came to learn and see the new trends of fashion-cooking.

For the forth year in a row, USAPEEC was the general sponsor of the event.

As in previous year USAPEEC organized spectacular show for the opening ceremony of the Culinary Congress in which a group of children in chicken costumes danced. Children were specially invited this year again on the request of most of the delegates. Such opening is becoming traditional for Kazakhstan Culinary Congress. Dances created a special cheerful atmosphere. This was a great start for the whole event!

Total of 9 master classes were conducted during the event. High-qualified chefs demonstrated their mastership in various cuisines of the world.

On the second day of the Culinary Congress, special guest, a prominent Chef, member of the panel of the World Association of Chefs Societies, Gold, Silver and Bronze medalist of the 9th international competition in Turkey 2011, Roman Suvorov led his master-class. He showed how to cook specialties from U.S. chicken meat in European Cuisine.

During U.S. chicken leg quarters cooking demonstrations chefs spoke of the nutritional benefits and high quality of U.S. poultry and showed the audience different recipes and cooking methods to incorporate U.S. chicken leg quarters into everyday and holiday tables.

The longest workshop on cooking of U.S. chicken leg quarters took place on the last day of the Culinary Congress. It lasted for 3 hours.

The workshops are to reach indirectly thousands of people in Kazakhstan – because hotels, restaurants, cafes will be offering more dishes from U.S. chicken leg quarters after this event. That’s why USAPEEC Consultant organized the awareness campaign for U.S. poultry targeting chefs and directors of hotels, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets.

U.S. chicken leg quarters for all the dishes prepared during the Culinary Congress were kindly provided by USAPEEC member trading company - Meat Team International.

Such events undoubtedly raise awareness of U.S. poultry product standards among consumers. In addition, such events successfully promote U.S. poultry products and will help increase its consumption establishing positive image of U.S. production in Central Asian region.
