New procedure of customs duties distribution in CU will be effective starting September 1
A new procedure of import duties distribution and some other taxes in Customs Union of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus will be effective starting September 1, 2010. This is stipulated by the agreement signed in May, 2010 by three sides.
According to the decision of the Customs Union Commission import duties are distributed as follows: 4.7 percent to Belarus, 7.33 percent to Kazakhstan, 87.97 percent to Russia.
As a reminder, Customs Union was launched in January 2010. In January 2012 partners will have to move to a new stage of integration and to create the Common Economic Space (CES).
